Defining a Space.

Light glides between glass and iron, caresses surfaces and volumes, revealing hidden textures and reflections. It becomes a living presence that not only illuminates but also tells the story of a locale. Such is the case with Luxury Watch Boutique in Milano’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

In collaboration with Metis Lighting and ACPV Architecs, Aggio oversaw the entire executive phase – from installing the electrical system and glass production to the creation of the lighting fixtures and their installation, which proved particularly challenging due to the layout.

The Challenge

Majestic blown-glass chandeliers illuminate the space, accentuating the elegance of the watches.

The project aimed to enhance the client’s immersive experience within the showroom. Custom-made suspended chandeliers, an expression of high-level craftsmanship, underscore the value and sophistication of the luxury timepieces on display.

  • Double Bronze Structure
Each chandelier was fully crafted in-house, including the metal framework and the nickel rods that link the two bronze sections.
  • Blown-Glass Cylinders
Six different glass options were explored during prototyping, culminating in a mutually agreed-upon selection.
  • Hand Engraving
The glass features hand-engraved diamond-shaped motifs, recalling the brand’s signature texture, which is also echoed throughout the store’s furnishings.
  • Made in Italy Certification
Being able to certify that the glass used was authentically Italian proved a key element in winning the commission.

The Solution

Experience is multiform – that includes installing suspended chandeliers.

As for the two suspended chandeliers that we transported and installed within the boutique, one was positioned on the fourth floor at the end of the staircase, with the chandelier’s center aligned precisely with the handrail. This required the utmost care in planning, precision, and coordination, not to mention a healthy dose of ingenuity. Each and every movement was calculated down to the millimeter in order to achieve a flawless result.
