Palm Villa is an exclusive residence in Kuwait City, where we oversaw the customization of two iconic Aggio collections – Bovola chandeliers and Vanity lamps – as we reconfigured each element to adapt the decorative lighting to the spaces there and specific design choices.
Palm Villa
OVERVIEW
Above and Beyond.
The lighting solutions are an integral part of a project by Flaviano Capriotti Architects, the firm that designed and furnished the villa’s approximately 2,000 square meters with a masterful use of space and timeless style.
THE CHALLENGE
Bovola and Vanity. Two iconic Aggio collections shape a residence where lighting and architecture become one.
While Capriotti Architects often integrate Bovola and Vanity in their projects, this composition demanded more: fully customized models in terms of size, fixings, molds, finishes, and light source configuration.
- Bovola
Bovola is a suspension chandelier designed by Aggio in 2019. It features a metal frame with a bronze finish and handmade transparent glass rods. For the Palm Villa project, a special three-tier version was created – one step beyond the standard two-tier model – requiring all-new customized production processes. - Vanity
Vanity is an Aggio wall lamp with an adjustable LED module, crafted in fluted transparent borosilicate glass. Its structure is made of galvanized aluminum with a satin bronze finish. For this project, multiple versions were produced featuring multiple heights and other custom details.
THE SOLUTION
Lighting as atmosphere, design accent, and spatial expression.
Aggio oversaw the entire decorative lighting project for Palm Villa in Kuwait City, including the development and customization of all Bovola chandeliers and Vanity lamps at every stage. We selected finishes and created new glass molds, produced models and installed fixtures, using custom ceiling mounting solutions in place of traditional suspension systems.
Aggio also supported the design of Palm Villa’s electrical system, collaborating with Rossi Bianchi Lighting Design to determine lighting points and fine-tune light distribution.
